Written by igcompany on Thursday, 29 December 2011 18:47.

Game Information

Critically acclaimed, multi-million selling and still the most respected football title on the planet, Pro Evolution Soccer continues to be one of Konami?s flagship titles. The indications are that this latest incarnation will surpass everything that went before it and prove that PES 2008 will be the greatest version of the beautiful game to date.

Two new cover stars will grace the packshot with multiple player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo and England star Michael Owen endorsing the quality of PES 2008 by deciding to use their considerable talents alongside that of the game. As well as the outside having a new look, fans will be eager to know what new changes can be found inside the most important area of PES 2008 ? the gameplay.

PES 2008 will feature a brand new intelligence system, called Teamvision, that adapts and reacts to players own gameplay styles to ensure that the computer controlled opponents are always challenging and forcing the player to think and chance their style of play to avoid being out-thought by the game. It will learn counter attacks that target your weaknesses and look to exploit any repetitive tactics players use.

Defenders react better to danger, closing down the ball and charging at shots and the goalkeepers will hold shots that are closer to them as well. Teammates will make more intelligent runs into space and the close control has been sharpened to ensure quick and fluid passing and speedy attacks can be built. The next gen versions will also feature extensive edit modes so players can completely customise their PES 2008 experience.

Silent Hill Collection Game Info(PS2)

Written by igcompany on Thursday, 22 December 2011 13:58.

Game Information

Konami is releasing all three PlayStation 2 Silent Hill games as part of a cut-price Limited Edition box set. Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, and Silent Hill 4: The Room will be re-launched to coincide with the Hollywood film starring Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, The Dark) and directed by Christophe Gans (Brotherhood of the Wolf). If you?ve yet to brave the horrors that lie beyond the fog in Silent Hill, there has never been a better time.

Each game is linked to the mysterious town of Silent Hill, a mist-covered and deserted place where misshapen creatures lurk in the shadows and abandoned buildings. It was first visited in the PSOne title of the same name in 1999, before the three sequels made the leap to PlayStation 2 and added larger play areas and more grotesque imagery.

All of Konami?s Silent Hill games are famed for their potent mix of puzzle-solving, exploration and jump-out-of-your-skin combat elements. Beautifully-realised and haunting cinematic cut scenes reveal new twists in the plot as the mystery of Silent Hill is developed.

In Silent Hill 2, James Sunderland's life is shattered when his young wife Mary suffers a tragic death. Three years later, a mysterious letter arrives from Mary, beckoning him to return to their sanctuary of memories, the dark realm of Silent Hill.

Silent Hill 3 begins with a young girl called Heather innocently shopping in a sprawling mall, only to find herself transported to Silent Hill for reasons linked to her childhood. The gradual transformation of the shopping mall into the rotting locations of the town is eerily conveyed.

Silent Hill 4: The Room is the most claustrophobic entry to the series. A young man called Henry Townshend finds himself trapped in his apartment, unable to contact anyone outside. A large portal has appeared in his bathroom that leads him to Silent Hill and a terrifying plot that could see the town's inhuman denizens invading our dimension. As the town's evil seeps through the portal, Townshend?s apartment starts to decay.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence Game Info(PS2)

Written by igcompany on Thursday, 22 December 2011 13:57.

Game Information

Spread over three discs, featuring an advanced version of the original MGS3, a completely new online mode, the original two MSX Metal Gear games so you can see where it all started and a host of other options, this is simply a must have title.

Disc one holds the massively enhanced version of Hideo Kojima's acclaimed Snake Eater title. The familiar 'Camouflage Index' where Snake adapts his look to blend into the surroundings and the Close Quarters Combat fighting system both remain, but new to Subsistence however is a 3D camera feature. This allows players to view the action from virtually any angle they like, a technique that Kojima Productions will also be using in the forthcoming Metal Gear Solid 4 for PS3. A demo theatre is also included on the disc where players can watch any of the game's fantastic cut-scenes.

The second disc takes the Metal Gear experience to a whole new level. The addition of the full online mode is the biggest feature, answering the requests of countless Metal Gear fans. Using the PS2's Network Adapter, up to eight players can compete online for the first time ever in a MG game. Online modes include 'Sneaking Missions', 'Capture Missions', 'Rescue Missions', 'Death Matches' and 'Team Death Matches', which will allow participants to battle against each other in real-time environments. New locations have also been created, including a Lost Forest, Killhouse and Ghost Factory.

A 'Duel Mode' enabling players to play through the timeless boss fights one after another is a new addition, while a 'Spoof theatre' shows the lighter side to the game with a series of amusing movies - including the return of Raiden! This disc also contains perfect replications of the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 games from 1987!
