Don't Lose Players to Free Agency
If you don't want to lose your best players to free agency then go to your 'Mange Roster' menu and edit the player you want to keep. For example, if it is Carlos Zambrano you want to keep scroll to his contract and where you see the amount of money and years he has remaining lower the amount of money and add as many years as desired. By doing this you will never lose him until he retires.
