Alpha Protocol: There won't be any sequel

Written by igcompany on Wednesday, 07 July 2010 14:05.

The president of Sega West announced in an interview for CVG that Alpha Protocol will not have any sequel because they didn't have any success with the sales. This announcement comes like a hit for the gamers who liked this game as soon as it has been released. With a price of 49,99$ this game looked like it didn't like for most of the gamers. Here is what Mike Hayes - Sega West president sayed:

"Let's speak very commercially; the game hasn't sold what we've expected, therefore we won't be doing a sequel," said Hayes.

"The concept was brilliant, though," he added. "You know this whole thing with Metacritic where you have to be in the high 70s to mid-80s minimum [to have any success] - well, with RPGs you have got to be in the late 80s."

After 2 beautifull games EA will try (wich is hard) to make Crysis 2 become even more popular that the other Crysis title already are.

An interesting detail about Crysis 2 is that the actions will jump from the jungle to the "urban jungle" like some EA speaker sayed. Crysis 2 next location is going to be New York!

THE STORY

Terrifying alien invaders stalk the streets of Manhattan, while a nightmare plague strikes down its human inhabitants. In the three years since the devastating extra-terrestrial attack in the South China Sea the aliens have regrouped and returned with a full invasion force. Now they plan to use their superior technology to wipe mankind from the face of the Earth. And they’re starting with its most iconic city.

New York is in chaos, its streets and skyline in smashed and flaming ruin. The military has been drafted in to control the situation and try to evacuate the public, but they are outmatched and most definitely outgunned.

Just when all hope seems lost, a soldier inherits a next-generation Nanosuit, the only means of survival in this carnage. Fighting his way through human and extra-terrestrial enemies alike, he must find a way to stand against the invaders – and somehow drive them back.

GAMEPLAY

Next-generation Nanosuit

  • The technologically advanced Nanosuit 2.0 lets gamers switch back and forth between two key tactical modes, Stealth and Armor. Surprise the enemy with a creeping attack, or simply blast your way through each obstacle.

Vertical shift

  • New York offers spectacular opportunities for vertical gameplay. The player can jump between different stories or onto buses or trucks, drop down into craters and fissures in the city’s streets and leap from one building to another. There’s also a lot of freedom to strategize and attack from above, and thus gain an advantage.

Amazing aliens and AI

GTA V To Be released in 2011?

Written by igcompany on Sunday, 04 July 2010 22:34.

GTA IV was a smashing title. All the people were talking about it. It brought something new to the gaming industry and all hardcore gamers were using this game when they wanted to benchmark their pc’s.

Niko Bellick took Carl’s place from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and it looks like he played it’s role very well.

First GTA IV was released on consoles somewhere in march 2008 and then on pc in december. PC users where dissapointed (not that they weren’t used to it since Rockstar released a few titles after San Andreas only for the consoles) but then surprise! Pretty later somewhere in fall 2008 news came up that GTA IV will come on PC to.

But let’s not bore you with all these stories about the ex-GTA games. Is the time for the upcoming ones!

Maybe GTA IV done it’s work and is now the time to come up another GTA game .

GTA V can be released in 2011 and there are many things that shows us that.

Rockstar started to fell the success of GTA (on consoles and PC’s) and early after GTA IV release they released a couple of expansion packs.

GTA IV was released 3 years after GTA San Andreas.

Rockstar won’t be able to handle it with expansion packs so they will release a new game(maybe a smashing hit like they used us!)

So we can expect for GTA V to be released somewhere late 2011.

Of course till GTA V release we can expect to be released other expansion packs but all the gamers are looking forward for GTAV.

If they are planning on releasing GTA V (wich they probably already did like some roumors sayed) who will be the next character to entertain us? Who wii take Niko Bellic’s place?

Or it will be him again? What do you think?
