Black Ops 2 Reveal Trailer - The story to be set in 2025

Written by igcompany on Thursday, 03 May 2012 15:18.

We once again got the right name for an upcoming game before it's official announcement. Black Ops 2 will be the next game in the Call of Duty franchise. But as not many would have expected the game will be set somewhere in the future, around the year 2025 mainly in Los Angeles as presented in the trailer.

A little bit about the Black Ops 2 Trailer

The guy that talks in the video is an older version of the main character in Black Ops I, Woods. And as he says: 'They always need man like us ... those willing to do what others cannot.'

So we may control the same character as in Black Ops I. Most of the comments around internet are about the time when the game is set. Is strange to make a sequel that happenes decades later. It's odd to play the first Black Ops set in the 60s and then play Black Ops II set in 2025. This is something that i didn't wished. Call of Duty is becoming something like Crysis. Play against bots and all that. Is this the time for other franchises to shine? Battlefield and maybe Crysis?

The graphics don't seem to be pretty much evolved, maybe they worked a little bit at the facial recognition system. As most of the players are saying: 'Almost the same game every year.' Is Activision adopting EA's strategy with sports games, concentrate on profit and not on user opinions?

Now i'm thinking maybe they got the name wrong. Except a few characters from Black Ops I maybe this should have been called Modern Warfare 4.

Black Ops 2 Release Date

This time we won't have to look pretty much or wait to long for a release date to be announced. We will only have to wait for the game to come out (if you are a fan of hi tech shooters). As Activision announced, Black Ops 2 will be available starting 11.13.2012.

Call of Duty is entering a gaming field that is owned by Crysis and onestly, with the graphics that Crysis has it's hard to beat that. Black Ops 2 getting released in november and four months after that Crysis 3 is coming out. I know you are thinking Crysis 3 would be a better alternative for hi tech first person shooter.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Trailer

Now that we covered all of that let's see the trailer:

Now a question: Should have been Black Ops 2 actually named Modern Warfare 4?

Konami Releases the Debut Trailer for PES 2013

Written by igcompany on Tuesday, 01 May 2012 10:41.

As Konami promised they released the debut trailer for PES 2013. It is not really a gameplay trailer as everybody would have expected and it's not even like the Crysis 3 trailer which has been released in the same day (i am sure if these two companies, EA and Konami knew that they are going to release trailers in the same day, one of them would have been delayed the trailer release date).

About the Debut Trailer for Pro Evolution Soccer 2013

In the debut trailer we can see the same player as in the announce trailer, Cristiano Ronaldo (presenting the features of a soccer game through a well known player is a good way in my opinion and also is a good marketing strategy). The most visible feature that will be introduced in PES 2013 is Player ID which takes me to EA's technology introduced in FIFA 12 which i also must say wasn't that obvious. I have hardly seen some good technologies in FIFA 12 other than the buggy Player Impact Engine which makes FIFA 12 one of the most annoying games ever. EA should have improved the technology for at least another year and then introduce it.

Let's hope Konami knows what it's doing and will bring a proper feature in PES 2013. As we can see in the trailer Cristiano Ronaldo runs the same in PES 2013 as he does it in real life.

If Konami succeeded on getting more licensed clubs and championships then PES 2013 will be a perfect game and will be a great competitor for EA's FIFA 13 which in the last years dissapointed.

PES 2013 Debut Trailer

Now let's take a look at the Debut Trailer for PES 2013 and after that let's make an analysis of it.

PES 2013 Information

Here are some more info about the technologies available in the game and presented (a little bit) in the trailer (taken from the official website):

1. PES FullControl (PES FC)

The term PES FullControl describes several new and improved features that give you even more control about the players and the ball in PES 2013.

Total Freedom of Control:

Pro Evolution Soccer introduced the concept of freedom of movement, the new ‘PES FC’ in PES 2013 goes further with total freedom over ball control.

Dynamic First Touch:

PES 2013 introduces subtle ways to receive the ball, from traps, gently lifting it past an attacker to run on to or a variety of other moves. First touch is everything and players can trap the ball using the R2 button, killing the speed of a well-hit pass and bringing it instantly under control, or using the momentum of the pass to turn a defender.

Full Manual Shooting and Full Manual Passing:

PES 2013 offers fully manual passing and for the first time ever manual shooting, allowing users to determine the height and power of each. Long low passes can be sent skimming across the pitch, while shooting the user has total control over where the shot is placed. Skill and precision are needed to master these, but passes can be made into open areas, allowing lone strikers to thrive, while offering an unrivalled variety in ways to score.

Dribbling:

The speed with which a player moves with the ball has been slowed in line with real matches, but using R2 allows players to add various styles to their close control. Players can vary the speed of their dribbling, and cushion the ball as they move freely within a 360-degree circle. The new system allows players to knock a ball past a player and collect it, nutmeg them, or hold up play by shielding the ball as team mates find space and make runs.

Full Manual One-Two:

Active one-two passes can be made, with the second player being moved in any direction), facilitating various tactical movements.

Response Defending:

Countering the attacking options the new dribbling system offers, is a beautifully-balanced defence system. Players can use R2 and X to slow an attack, with a double-tap of the X button prompting a perfectly-timed challenge. Full 360-degree control means that players can check runs and steal the ball from a parallel position, while the individuality element will see world renowned defenders using aerial dominance of physicality to win the ball.

Goalkeepers:

Even the game’s ‘keepers benefit from more control, while their distribution is more precise thanks to the addition of a power gauge when they throw the ball, creating opportunities for new, quicker counter attacks.

2. Player ID

Player ID focuses on the individual elements and movements that each player boasts:

Player Individuality:

The very best players in PES 2013 will be instantly recognisable via incredible likeness and signature attributes, skills and tricks that bring them to life. The way they run, turn, trap and move the ball, shape to shoot and even celebrate will be noticeably different during play.

The way they run, turn, trap and move the ball, shape to shoot and even celebrate will be noticeably different during play.

Individuality to Goalkeepers:

The individuality of movement has also been extended to between the posts. Goal keeping has been totally invigorated via new animations and play styles.

New varieties of saves and reactions have been added to ensure the game’s ‘keepers are in line with the efforts of real shot stoppers. This level of realism also extends to the game’s top-rated goal keepers, with their moves to close attacks down, fling themselves to tip a shot past the post, and in-goal acrobatics benefiting from all new animations and AI.

3. ProActive AI

ProActive AI unites the control and realism, with players that will respond and find space as befits those at the top of their game:

Balance of Play:

The development team has worked closely with the PES fan base to eradicate any illogical elements to the way players move and run in PES 2013, with the ‘ProActive AI’ system enhancing the speed and balance resulting in a more realistic game experience.

Tactical Precision:

The balance of play has also been enhanced in the play between defences and the front line, with greater organisation as the teams track back or pelt forward, setting a harder to beat defensive line, teams adjusting faster to ball gain or loss, allowing for quicker counters.

The development team has worked hard with real keepers to ensure the AI decision process has been vastly improved.

Enhanced Goalkeepers:

Improvements to the goal keepers was voted the key advancement football fans wanted to see in PES 2013, and the team has worked hard with real keepers to ensure the AI decision process has been vastly improved. Keepers now espond with better reactions, clear their lines more effectively and push the ball savely out of play rather than into dangerous areas.

4. Better connectivity and atmosphere

PES 2013 will also boast better connectivity and atmosphere.

The popular myPES application will extend the connectivity and communication between Facebook-using PES fans, while the game’s audio effects are being tied closer to the on-field action to provide the kind of buzz seen at top-tier matches, with crowds growing in excitement as their team starts to exert pressure.

As we are used and as Konami announces on their official website the game will be released this autumn. Since PES 2012 has been released at the end of september we can expect Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 to be released around the same time.

The first gameplay trailer for Crysis 3

Written by igcompany on Wednesday, 25 April 2012 16:42.

So as EA promised and as we promised here is the first gameplay trailer for Crysis 3 which is going to take the gaming industry to another level with it's technologies.

Crysis 3

Is going to be released in spring 2013 and it's pretty strange that EA decided to release a trailer for the game so soon, which means they already got close to the final product in terms of gameplay. Maybe they will have more to work on the multiplayer. The multiplayer mode could get very much money for EA and that of course if they manage to do it right. I would like a proper Crysis multiplayer and bigger maps. Would be cool if you would chase your enemies through New York.

Crysis 3 Release Date

Crysis 3 is going to be released on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 most probably in march 2013. Crysis 2 has been released in the same month, on march 22nd 2011.

Seems like the Crysis franchise is becoming a profitable deal for it's developers but as the most games and movies out there the best release is the first one and the first Crysis is still playable nowadays.

Let's not forget what we are here for and that's for the ...

Medal of Honor: Warfighter gets the first screenshots

Written by igcompany on Sunday, 22 April 2012 12:59.

Here are the so awaited first screenshots for Medal of Honor: Warfighter. From the screenshots we can say that even if the Frostbite engine is a good one it doesn't offer many options to game developers as the Frostbite engine - made games are looking almost the same.

Medal of Honor(2010) and the Frostbite technology

For example the last Medal of Honor, released in 2010 looked pretty much the same (with some little improvements) with Battlefield 3. Medal of Honor 2010 used the first Frostbite engine technology and Battlefield 3 used the Frostbite 2 engine technology.

Back to Medal of Honor: Warfighter

Same here. It looks like EA focuses more on the Battlefield franchise which became a better deal than the Medal of Honor franchise. So EA didn't worked pretty much at the engine and will use the same one as for Battlefield 3, Frostbite 2.

Let's let these technologies away and hope that EA will make a good game. I mean i still prefer Medal of Honor Allied Assault over most of today's FPS.

No more talking, here are the screenshots:
